DEATH is REAL. The Bible says, “As it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgment:” – Hebrews 9:27. No one is exempted of death. Some die at a very young age and some are blessed to reach more than a hundred year before they leave this sinful world. But still, they die.
We have different perceptions about death. Some evade this topic and some take this event so lightly. For me, this is a serious thing and should be faced as one of the realities of life because no one can’t escape from this event. And since this is a known event that will happen to all us, is it not worth to prepare for it? We just don’t know the time, the place and how, but we will definitely die.
Nowadays, many are liberated when it comes to funeral planning. Some avail of life plans to make sure that their loves ones will not be burdened of the funeral cost when they die. Those who prefer to be cremated buy their urns as early as possible. But these are just the preparations for our physical death. How about our life after death? Where will you spent your eternity? Will you spend it in joy and rejoicing with God or in agonizing and torment in hell?
The bible is clear in John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no one cometh unto the Father but by me.” There is no other way but Jesus. Will you trust Jesus that only He can save you from the lake of fire? If you do, then utter a simple prayer like this, “Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me so much that you gave your only begotten son, Jesus, to take my punishment. I admit that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself from eternal damnation. Please forgive me and wash me with the precious blood of Jesus which was shed on the cross. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Saviour. Now I ask You to come into my life to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. In the mighty name of Jesus, this I pray, Amen.”
I like your post Mommy! Thumbs up for the heart! 🙂
