I realized last night that my daughter can now associate certain color to its corresponding names (in letters). She was given a homework about shapes. She needs to color the square, rectangle, circle, and triangle with Red, Blue, Yellow, and Orange. In the instruction, only the shape and the corresponding color name is given. I ask my daughter what color is the first one which is RED, and she was able to tell it to me. I thought, she just guessed it. So I continued asking until she finished to answer the last color name. I was still unconvinced so I tried to ask her to read the color names randomly and she got all the four correctly! Probably she already memorized the association of the colors to its names. 🙂
