My former officemate reminded me that August 23 and August 30, 2010 are both non-working holidays in celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day and Heroes Day respectively. These holidays are included in the Official List of Official Holidays for 2010 based on Proclamation 1841 signed by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo last July 2009. These holidays will take effect unless the new President, PNoy, will proclaim an amendment prior to the holidays’ actual dates. Both holidays fall on Mondays, that means we have two consecutive long-weekends coming this month.

Its already confirmed that August 23 (Monday) will be a regular working day. The holiday will be observed on the day itself (August 21, Saturday).
Ah yes, I’ve already posted here the amendment. Thank you for your comment 🙂
For me I think it’s more better if PNoy moves the celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day on August 31, 2010 instead of August 23, 2010. It’s only my opinion and it’s only for this year.
That would be great! That is a very long vacation!
Hi Mylene, thanks for dropping by. Also thanks for reminding me about those holidays this month. God bless you always.
