One week after I gave birth, I started working again. I need to because of my contractual status. I have no paid maternity leave which is one of the benefits of a regular employee. If I don’t work, I won’t have any earning but my bills and financial obligations won’t rest.
So now, even if I could not still sit for long without feeling the pain of my episiotomy, I need to face my machine again and continue coding. When I say machine, I’m referring to my computer machine and not the kind of machines with slot nuts.
How I wish I could quit my day-time job and be a full-time wife and mom without having any financial woes.
