Since the devastating M7.2 earthquake last Tuesday, October 15, classes here in Bohol have not resumed yet but not with my homeschooler to her dismay. We resumed last Monday. She actually complained why she has to work on her PACES while the others including the 7th graders who live with us are on vacation. I told her that I don’t see any valid reason why she can’t continue working on her PACES while she’s just here in the house. I added that she had her turn last two months when we were waiting for her PACES to arrive. I’m not sure if I convinced her well but she seemed pacified.
According to the latest news, most classes will resume on November 5. Some universities will resume the classes tomorrow to complete the pending final exams. But high schools and elementary are in long vacation.
There are still municipalities with residents living in tents and until now, we are still experiencing aftershocks so I believe the decision to call-off the classes until November 5 is just wise to ensure the safety of the students.
I’m so sorry to read about these challenges and want you to know…
I’m thinking of you and praying for all in the Philippines.
Hope you/your loved ones are safe in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan.
Sending prayers and blessings your way!
Elizabeth
Hi Eliz,
Thank you for your concern and prayer. We are safe by God’s grace. We are praying and hoping that everything will be normalized very soon particularly the supply of electricity and water.
