My daughter’s preference for cake is quite unusual for her age. Instead of chocolate cakes, she prefers an Ube cake. I realized it when I bought her birthday cake and I asked her to choose which cake she likes to eat that time. She uttered a wow when she saw the chocolate cakes as we entered the bake shop but she didn’t choose any of them for herself. Instead, she decisively pointed to an Ube cake. I was amazed because I expect that she’ll have a chocolate cake just like any other kids.
Ihad the chance to buy her another Ube Cake last Saturday, this time its from Goldilocks. I just bought her a roll. First, that was my only spare money. Second, we can’t consume more than that. We are only three at home. The roll, lasted two to three days inside the ref. Only the two of us ate the bigger part. Below is your share 🙂

i’m the complete opposite of your daughter–i don’t eat ube cake, ube ice cream or anything purple for that matter.:p i like purple as a color but i find it strange when food is purple (lol). i don’t know why.
I guess it’s the color… some kids kasi don’t like chocolate cakes because they think they’re eating mud. Ako rin nung bata, I prefer Ube cake, too.

I like ube cake, too, but if there’s chocolate cake around, I would choose chocolate over ube anytime.

My girl also loves Ube, maybe because she’s never had so much ube and it kinda taste different for her than the usual choc cakes we see around or sold just everywhere.
