My adrenaline rushed this afternoon when I noticed some garbage text on my sidebar. I also noticed the same garbage text on my other blog while I was doing a post. I immediately thought that I got hacked. Good thing my officemate was online and asked me if my I updated my Word Press last December. According to her, the update last December was important because it included security patches. The version should be at least 3.04 but when I checked mine, it was still 3.0. So I immediately updated my Word Press to 3.1. After the update, the garbage text disappeared. I also updated my other blog.
Was my site really get hacked? I’m not sure if it was but I was thankful that I was able to fix it immediately. This is not a good time for a downtime. I am in the middle of rushing so many assignments 😀
