Steel residential buildings are not common here in the Philippines. As a matter of fact, I haven’t seen one yet.  The affluent families prefer mansions made with bricks and cement. While those who belongs to the lowest class stratum could not only afford a hut. Aside from the cost, Philippines is too saturated for this kind of dwelling place. I think this is not suitable when it comes to the weather especially during summer. Steel is known as conductor so it would worsen the temperature when it is too hot. So as long as I am in the Philippines, I doubt if I could have a chance to experience living in a steel residential building.
