Last Tuesday, Philippines was hit by Basyang (international name Conson). This was the first typhoon which hit the country for this year. The typhoon was not that strong compared to the typhoons which visited our country last year. Nonetheless, the typhoon still left some damages and killed a number of people. It was also able to shut down the electricity in many areas for long hours which paralyzed many offices, malls, establishments, and the main mass transportation in the metro. But I consider this less destructive compared to previous other typhoons.
I thank God because He keep my entire family safe and He returned the electricity in our area earlier. And though I don’t have an internet the whole day yesterday, He returned it early today, just before I leave the house for office. This prevented me from going to office and allowed me to work from home. Going to office for consecutive is not really easy for me so I am really thankful that His answer to my prayer arrived just in time ๐

Thank God you are all safe. May He continue to hold you in the palm of His hand and may you find shelter under His wings.
Glad you are safe! Enjoyed reading your post, and hope you have a wonderful week!
Now there is something to be thankful for…praise God that you and your family were spared damage and that you didn’t have to go into work, but could work from home…yay for modern technology ๐
God’s hand of protection is so evident!
I absolutely LOVE your part of the world…my parent’s were missionaries, so we visited the Philippines back in the 70’s, but it left a big impression on me. My sister’s husband is a military chaplain and while they were stationed in Singapore, we were able to visit them…I look forward to getting to know you better!
Thankful that you are safe! Blessings
So glad God kept you safe.
